Time to Rediscover Your Lazy Side . . . Too Much Exercise Can Kill You

If you don't exercise, it can kill you.  But according to a new study, too MUCH exercise can ALSO kill you.  And since that means you're gonna die either way, might as well go with not exercising, right?

Researchers at the University of Illinois at Chicago just found that very active men are 86% MORE likely to have a buildup of plaque in their arteries by middle age.

The researchers say that this DOESN'T mean you should stop exercising . . . but, you know, keep it in moderation.

A Restaurant Is Caught Serving Popeyes Chicken as Their Own . . . and They're Proud of It?

There's a restaurant in Long Beach, California called Sweet Dixie Kitchen, and they get pretty good Yelp reviews.  At least . . . until last week.

That's when a guy named Tyler was eating there and he realized the fried chicken they were serving him tasted JUST like the chicken from POPEYES.  And when he confronted them about it, his waiter admitted that they bring in the chicken from there.

He felt ripped off, considering that they sell their chicken sandwich for $12.50, which is a LOT more than Popeyes, so he posted about it on Yelp.

And when Sweet Dixie Kitchen responded, they didn't deny it . . . they actually BRAGGED about it.  Quote, "We PROUDLY SERVE Popeyes spicy tenders . . . it has always been our goal to feature local food and guest chefs here."

And yesterday, the owner tried to clarify on Facebook.  Basically, she said that most of the stuff at every restaurant is brought in . . . like, they don't have their own chickens laying eggs for egg dishes, or cows making milk to use for cream.

Quote, "We will continue our business the same way we have always done, honest that we make nearly all from scratch . . . and when we can't, we'll use the second-best thing available to us."

Starbucks' Holiday Cups Will Have a Christmas Tree on Them This Year

Looks like the battle at Starbucks in the War on Christmas is going to be cancelled this year.

Remember two years ago, when Starbucks' holiday cups were just plain red and some people got mad that they weren't Christmas-y enough?  Well a photo just leaked that allegedly shows this year's cups, and they won't have that problem.

Starbucks' holiday cups this year are white with a bunch of red and black drawings on them . . . including a Christmas tree with a star on top.

"Disgruntled" ex-contractor accused of spraying possible feces on grocery produce

via cbsnews.com

Authorities say a man sprayed a foul-smelling brown liquid on produce at a grocery store in South Carolina, telling police the store owed him money.

Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis said 41-year-old Pau Hang was arrested Sunday afternoon at a Harris Teeter supermarket.

A police report says the manager called 911 after seeing Hang in the store. The "disgruntled former contractor" was ordered to stay out two years ago.

Police say the manager saw Hang empty a bottle with a brown liquid and a bad odor like feces on the produce. He estimated it would cost at least $3,000 to throw away the contaminated food and clean the cases.

Investigators are testing the substance.

"We were extremely alarmed and disappointed to learn that today, a disgruntled, former contractor attempted to contaminate food products in the produce department and Fresh Foods department inside our St. Andrews Shopping Center location," Danna Robinson, a Harris Teeter spokeswoman, said in a statement released to the Post & Courier.

Robinson told the paper the affected departments of the store remained closed as of Sunday afternoon to be sanitized and will not re-open until the store receives approval from local health officials.

Hang is charged with damage to personal property and trespassing after notice. Jail records do not list a lawyer.
