A registered sex offender is found living close to a child daycare center and workers there want him to move far away.
Timothy Wilson, 52, was involved in a sex crime 22 years ago that involves an 11-year-old girl. Wilson’s listed address is just blocks away from Maxine’s Daycare off of Silver Street in Alton. Owner Maxine Caldwell is concerned for the safety of the children in her daycare.
“I don't think it’s the police’s fault that he's here. I think it’s the person who paroled him here. It’s their fault,” said Caldwell.
Alton Police said they gave Wilson several weeks to find a new place to live after discovering he was in violation. However, Wilson did not move, nor can he cannot be located.
“We don’t think Wilson is a threat at this point, but he has been charged and is wanted by the police,” said Emily Hejna of the Alton Police
At least 35 Disney World employees have been arrested since 2006 over alleged child sex offences, an investigation has revealed.
The suspects included a ticket seller, a concierge and a trainee tour guide at the Florida resort - and even a night shift manager accused of watching child porn at work while he wrote a church sermon.
Police caught many in stings modelled on the TV show To Catch a Predator, with undercover officers receiving explicit messages before the suspects agreed to meet at a home rigged with cameras.
The latest round of arrests last week netted another 13 suspects, including four who at some point worked at the sprawling Magic Kingdom.
Disney has insisted the theme park is so large, with around 70,000 employees, that those arrested represent only 0.01 per cent of people it has employed since 2006
On May 16, Johnson County sheriff's deputies arrested 40-year-old Jeannie Lynn Ledoux on suspicion of online solicitation of a minor. Investigators looked through more than 11,000 text messages between Ledoux and the victim, all sexual in nature, according to the arrest report.
In early May, the boy borrowed his mom's phone to start texting Ledoux.
Days later, the boy’s mom noticed he wasn't acting like himself, according to the police report. The mom took her cell phone back and found graphic messages, including one that said Ledoux loved the boy and would fight a 10-year-old girl for him.
In one case, Ledoux reportedly texted the boy that the “…reason for a condom is that so no diseases are contracted and so a girl doesn't get pregnant…” Records show she added that the boy had “…nothing to worry about because he hasn't gone through puberty yet."
On April 26, investigators believe Ledoux arranged for the boy to have sex with another minor who’s a relative of hers at the same school.
The boy texted that “…he didn't wear the condom and wanted to know if that was okay with Ledoux…"
Ledoux is a convicted felon, but the district's mandatory background check didn't show a 2011 drug charge.
South Dakota mom was arrested Wednesday after her boyfriend allegedly caught her naked with three young boys.
Sioux Fallspolice say Anne Elizabeth Doubler’s boyfriend made the discovery Wednesday night, when he returned home to the couple’s apartment with their 4-year-old son.
“He walked into the apartment, ended up seeing his girlfriend completely naked and there were three boys that were inside the house,” Sioux Falls police spokesman Sam Clemens said in an interview with KDLT-TV.
According to Clemens, the children, two 7-year-olds and a 10-year-old, were interviewed by detectives and all three alleged they had sexual contact with Doubler.
KSFY-TV interviewed the mother of one of the 7-year-old boys on Thursday. The mother, who is not being identified because her child is the alleged victim of a sexual assault, said her son had been to Doubler’s apartment multiples times.
“[She had] toys and everything and the kids when they see toys they go inside and we think … she has a kid and they were together playing,” she said.
Clemens said authorities are still trying to determine if there are additional victims
