MOLINA DOES IT AGAIN AS CARDS WIN OVER REDS ON HOME OPENER

Yadier Molina ripped a three-run double in the first and the Cardinals went on to a 5-3 win over the Reds in the home opener yesterday.  Michael Wacha threw six innings for the win while Matt Holliday and Allen Craig knocked in runs.  The Cards and Reds continue their three-game series tonight at Busch Stadium.  Lance Lynn gets the start for the Cardinals.  First pitch is set for 7:15.

BLUES AND CAPITALS TONIGHT

RAMS IN THE DRAFT

The Rams could be shopping the second-overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.  TheMMQB.com reports that general manager Les Snead has been talking to teams to gauge interest.  The Rams also own the 13th-overall selection in the draft.

MIZZOU SUSPENDING DORIAL GREEN-BECKHAM

Mizzou is suspending wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham from all team activities for a violation of undisclosed team policies.  Coach Gary Pinkel says it's the right thing to do for the program.  Green-Beckham was arrested in January, but there's no word on what the suspension is for, but rumors are spreading like crazy that Dorial is involved in an investigation that involves the assault of a woman.  Not looking good for DGB.

 UCONN ARE CHAMPS

UConn is your college basketball national champs after beating Kentucky last night 60-54.  Shabazz Napier received the Most Outstanding Player Award after picking up 22 points and 6 rebounds.  Its UConn’s FOURTH national championship…and with every big win…comes big parties.  Reports from last night show that students were knocking down light posts, setting couches on fire, and even several injured were reported.  YAY WINNING! One more college basketball thing…We know it’s not Friday…but here is an early fail for ya….Kentucky Wildcats fan Tyler Austin Black got some ink at the beginning of the tournament. Tyler got a tattoo on his right calf with the  "UK" logo and "2014 National Champions" written along with it.  How’s that working out buddy?  Mega fail!

DUCK COMMANDER FINALLY TAKES PLACE

And finally….the Duck Commander 500 finally took place yesterday after being rained out on Sunday.  Joey Logano pulled out the close win over Jeff Gordon to pick up his first win of the year.  It’s the 7th different winner of a race this year.  Kyle Busch, Brian Vickers, and Kyle Larson rounded out the top 5.  Crazy video you have to check out.  Dale Jr. was knocked out of the race during lap 13 after he lost a tire…and then his car literally burst into flames.  It was pretty crazy, he walked away from the crash...HERES THE VIDEO
