NEW MUSIC! CHECK OUT CAGE THE ELEPHANT'S NEW SINGLE "COME A LITTLE CLOSER"

Kentucky rockers Cage The Elephant has released "Come A Little Closer," the first single from the band's upcoming third album, Melophobia. The new CD follows up the group's acclaimed second album, Thank You Happy Birthday, and is also due out on October 8th.

Frontman Matt Shultz told Consequence Of Sound about the band's ambitions for the record, saying, "Musically, what we're trying to do is to be super thoughtful but blend that with the playfulness. It became a game to juxtapose and blend those polar opposites. We wanted to see how we can take those odd spectrums and marry them cohesively. It kinda became a game of how you make it work. The goal being to move in any direction so we could keep that in the future."

Cage The Elephant will open for Muse on the U.S. leg of their tour in September.

You can also catch them at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater with Imagine Dragons, Silversun Pickups, Greek Fire and the Neighbourhood on September 14th. CLICK HERE for details.
