Russell Brand to star in 'Arthur' remake
LOS ANGELES, March 2 (UPI) -- British actor and comedian Russell Brand has signed on to star in a remake of the 1981 Dudley Moore comedy "Arthur," Variety said Tuesday.
Jason Winer, who directed the pilot of the hit sit-com "Modern Family," is to direct the remake of "Arthur," a film about a hard-partying playboy who falls in love with a New York waitress. The new version was penned by Peter Baynham, one of the writers of Sacha Baron Cohen's "Borat" and "Bruno," the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.
Brand's film credits include "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," "Bedtime Stories" and "St. Trinian's."

Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller are currently both in rehab programs for drug addictions, have only recently been legally allowed to have contact with one another after spending Christmas Day playing in bed with a butcher knife, and Chuck is facing domestic violence charges. They’re obviously a rather unconventional couple at best, but apparently, we didn’t even know the half of it.
Until NOW.
Two unidentified sources have come forth with some rather juicy details on what has been going on behing the scenes with Charlie and Brooke. These sources allege that the couple frequently engaged in threesomes with other women, and that they did drugs with at least one of the women who shared a bed with them.
