Jane Fonda: sex life 'better than ever' at 71
Miss Fonda, whose 1982 workout video is still the biggest selling on the market, said an active love life was partly responsible for keeping her looking young.
"How do I still look good?" she told German newspaper Bilt.
"I owe 30 per cent to genes, 30 per cent to good sex, 30 per cent because of sports and healthy lifestyle with proper nutrition and for the remaining 10 per cent – I have to thank my plastic surgeon.
"I'm 71 and physically don't feel so good since I'm in pain. But I'm happier, the sex is better and I understand life better. I don't want to be young again."
The Barbarella star is apparently planning a fourth marriage, to music executive Richard Perry, 67. She has previously been involved with Donald Sutherland, her co-star in the 1971 movie Klute, and French journalist, author, actor and director Roger Vadim.
An operation on her back has left her unable to exercise properly, but she revealed that she still plans to climb the Himalayas next October.
"I just had surgery on the spine and can only run with a solid corset," she said.
"I also have a new knee and a new hip made of titanium. I'm slowly falling apart and feel like a walking spare parts depot.
"I had to have it all repaired because I want to climb the Himalayas. And at 8,000 metres, my body has to run smoothly."

Donald Trump threw Carrie Prejean under the bus yesterday by commenting on the convenience of her sex tape being revealed just in time for the release of her book. Via Extra:
"She's trying to act like she's a nun... so maybe she should release the sex tape and people would see whether or not she is a nun," Donald tells "Extra."
At the end of the day, Trump chalks up Carrie's revelations to self-promotion.
"She's trying to sell a book," Trump explains. "She's doing the best she can... I can't imagine too many people would be interested in it, but you never know what sells these days."
