105.7 the Point and Emmis Communications St. Louis are looking for qualified candidates to intern with the Digital team during the Fall 2008 semester.
If you’re looking forward to a career as a webmaster, web designer or video editor and are interested in our unique, radio-centric work environment, this opportunity is for you.
EXPERIENCE IN THE WORKPLACE
As a member of the Digital team, you’ll gain valuable experience working with many aspects of internet media – graphic design and photo editing, webpage layout and coding, Flash design, content management systems and video editing – for several popular, high traffic websites, including 1057thePoint.com. You’ll also discover how a webmaster functions as part of a promotions, marketing and sales team.
A Digital intern will need moderate working knowledge of:
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Dreamweaver (or equivalent WYSIWYG editor)
(X)HTML & CSS
Additional helpful skills sets (not required):
Final Cut Pro (or other video editing suite)
Adobe Flash
Adobe Illustrator
Windows PC and Apple Macintosh computing platforms
Photography or Videography background
INTERNSHIP DETAILS
Internships are unpaid and must be for college credit
Previous webmaster or radio experience is NOT required in order to be considered
Applicants must have at least 3 weekly availabilities during business hours (Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm). The very rare evening or weekend hours may be required for special events (such as Pointfest).
