A Perfect Circle is now streaming "By And Down," the band's first original new recording in a decade, at Spin.com. The track was written and recorded following a series of live performances in 2010 and 2011, which themselves ended a five-year hiatus for the band. The studio version of the track will appear on Three Sixty, a greatest hits compilation that's due out on November 19th.
Singer Maynard James Keenan said about the song, "Billy (Howerdel, guitar) and I created A Perfect Circle out of a now long-running friendship, and I think the music we have made reflects that personal connection and has given us the ability to further develop and trust our intuition. I feel Three Sixty is an accurate representation of that friendship and those instincts."
A live version of "By And Down" will also appear on A Perfect Circle Live: Featuring Stone and Echo, a limited edition boxed set that will released physically and digitally on November 26th.
The CD/DVD version is limited to 2,500 copies and will include Stone And Echo, a full-length concert recorded and filmed on August 11th, 2011 in Colorado, as well as Trifecta, which contains the band's complete discography -- Mer de Noms, Thirteenth Step and eMOTIVe -- recorded live during a five-city run of three-night, full-album performances in 2010.
