The full schedule for the Monster Energy Rock Allegiance Tour starring Volbeat has been unveiled, with the trek launching on August 23rd in Maplewood, Minnesota and ending for now on September 28th in Brooklyn, New York. Joining the Danish headliners on the tour will be HIM, All That Remains and Airbourne. Volbeat will be coming off a spring/summer European festival run as the band continues to support its fifth album, Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies. The latest single from the disc, "The Hangman's Body Count," is currently Number Two at Active Rock radio.

"The Hangman's Body Count" recently topped the rock radio chart, giving Volbeat its fourth Number One single following "Still Counting," "A Warrior's Call" and "Heaven Nor Hell."

The Rock Allegiance jaunt will be Volbeat's third outing in the U.S. since the April 9th release of the new CD.

Frontman Michael Poulsen told us he finds it strange that fans sometimes think Volbeat's music sounds more American than that of homegrown acts: "I'm so inspired by American music, you know, you have so many legendary performers that still I can be inspired of, and that's probably also the reason why we can write the way we do. So it's a little bit funny that a band from a little country called Denmark now and then can tell the American people how to do their own thing (laughs)."
