Former Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland married photographer Jamie Wachtelon Saturday night (June 22nd) at their home in Los Angeles, according to Loudwire. The couple met in 2011 when she was taking photos during the filming of music videos for Weiland's album of Christmas standards. The 45-year-old Weiland has been married twice previously, to Janina Castaneda from 1994 to 2000, and to Mary Forsberg from 2000 to 2007. He has two children with the latter, a son named Noah and a daughter named Lucy.
Saturday's wedding was said to be an intimate event attended by family and close friends.
Wachtel told People magazine, "We had the most beautiful, heartfelt ceremony. We all cried and laughed. Scott and I are over the moon!"
The wedding is positive news in what has been an otherwise turbulent period for the singer, which started earlier this year when he was fired and then sued by Stone Temple Pilots.
The band claims that Weiland's behavior damaged their career and seeks to prevent him from using the STP name to promote his solo ventures.
Weiland has claimed in a countersuit that the STP name cannot be used by the group unless all four original members are in the lineup.
The singer has been touring on his own and playing STP classics in concert, while the band has teamed with Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington to record new music and perform live.
