Phoenix has announced a new batch of fall U.S. tour dates in support of the French act's fifth studio album, Bankrupt!. Following an August 4th headlining slot at Chicago's Lollapalooza festival, the group will begin its own tour on August 6th in Omaha, Nebraska, with initial dates showing up through early October and more to come. Tickets for all new tour dates go on sale at 1:00 p.m. ET this Friday (June 14th).
Phoenix played Calfornia's Coachella Festival in April, along with a show at New York's legendary Apollo Theater, and is now on tour in Europe.
Bankrupt! cracked the Billboard album chart's Top 10 last month, debuting at Number Four with 50,000 copies sold in its first week of release -- both a sales and chart peak for the French modern rockers.
The record follows up 2009's Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. That CD was the French group's first commercial success in the U.S. and featured the hit singles "1901" and "Lisztomania."
