Puddle Of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin has had public intoxication charges stemming from an incident on a JetBlue Airlines flight dropped, according to TMZ. Scantlin claimed he was sober when he tried to purchase one beer on a flight from Boston to Los Angeles that ended with him being thrown off the plane and arrested in Austin, Texas after the pilot made an emergency landing there. Initial reports suggested that Scantlin was intoxicated and allegedly became aggressive after the attendant refused to sell him the alcohol, which Scantlin denied. According to reports, the judge in the case ruled that there was "insufficient evidence" to prosecute the singer.

Any conviction could have complicated his current probation for a felony cocaine possession charge stemming from an arrest in Los Angeles last January.

Scantlin pleaded guilty to that charge in July, but the judge agreed to clear his record as long as he did not break any further laws for 18 months.

He also appeared in court last June to finalize his divorce from wife Jessica Nicole Smith, agreeing to pay $2,500 a month in alimony. It was also revealed late last year that Scantlin owed more than $60,000 in back taxes.
