The Killers shot a music video for a unspecified new single on Thursday (November 15th) in Blackpool, England, with the clip directed by legendary filmmaker Tim Burton. The video also featured an appearance from actress Winona Ryder, who has worked with the director on the films Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands and the recently released Frankenweenie. According to the Blackpool Gazette, the video was filmed in an ornate local venue called the Tower Ballroom.
Local fans spotted the members of the band the night before the shoot at a movie theater in town, where they watched the new James Bond film Skyfall.
This is not the first time that the Killers and Burton have collaborated: the director also shot the video for the band's 2006 single "Bones," from their second album, Sam's Town. It was Burton's first music video and his only one until now.
The Killers had to postpone two shows on their current U.K. tour last week when frontman Brandon Flowers lost his voice and left the stage four songs into the first gig. The shows have been rescheduled for next February.
The quartet will kick off a U.S. tour on November 29th in Broomfield, Colorado as they continue to support their fourth album, Battle Born.
