Slipknot percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan will direct the new video from Hollywood Undead for the song "We Are." The track is the first single from the Los Angeles band's upcoming album, Notes From The Underground, which is due out on January 13th, 2013. Hollywood Undead's Da Kurlzz said, "We are very excited to be working with someone that thinks as progressively about their art as we do. Clown is a great director, and together we are going to deliver something truly memorable."
Notes From The Underground follows up Hollywood Undead's 2010 effort, American Tragedy, which debuted on the Billboard 200 at Number Four.
Crahan has been directing or co-directing Slipknot's videos for several years now. He also directed the band's 2005 DVD Voliminal: Inside The Nine, as well as video profiles of each member included on the group's recent greatest hits collection.
Crahan and Slipknot singer Corey Taylor launched their own film production company last year, called Living, Breathing Films, and Crahan updated us a few months back on their activities: "I just finished my first movie, my first script. It's untraditional, it's crazy, it's out of this world, and I'm very proud of it. Corey's got all kinds of stuff. Living, Breathing Films, it's on its way and it's gonna blow your freakin' mind away."
Slipknot is scheduled to return to the studio sometime in early 2013 to begin recording their first new album since 2008's All Hope Is Gone.
