Kings Of Leon bassist Jared Followill married model Martha Patterson in Charlotte, Tennessee this past Saturday (September 29th), according to Us Weekly. Followill popped the question to Patterson last April after the couple had been dating for just a few months. The ceremony was described by a source as a "typical country wedding," with both the bride and groom dressed in boots.
Followill tweeted on Saturday, "Today, I get married. It's the biggest step I've ever taken. I've dreamed about this day since I was a little girl." Previous to dating Patterson, Followill was linked to Twilight actress Ashley Greene for a while in 2011.
Caleb and Nathan Followill, Jared's older brothers and frontman and drummer respectively for the Kings, attended the wedding, as did their cousin and guitarist Matthew Followill.
Caleb and his wife, model Lily Aldridge, welcomed their first child, a girl, in June, while Nathan and his wife, musician Jessie Baylin, are expecting their first baby in December. Matthew has been married to musician Johanna Bennett since November 2009 and they have a 17-month-old son.
Jared recently told BBC Radio One that the Kings were "starting to get the ball rolling on album six," adding, "We're definitely planning on starting the record some point in the near future."
Jared also recently launched a new side project, Smoke & Jackal, which will release its debut EP on October 16th.
