Green Day has announced the details of its first major North American tour in support of its upcoming trilogy of albums, Uno!, Dos! and Tre!. The trek begins on November 26th in Seattle, with dates also booked in December, January and February. The bulk of the tour will take place in the latter two months. A pre-sale begins on Wednesday (September 12th) for fan club members, with regular general public tickets available for purchase mostly on Friday (September 14th) and Saturday (September 15th).
Green Day will play an intimate club show in New York City on Saturday to help launch the new Nokia Music streaming service.
The first of the punk trio's three new albums, Uno!, comes out on September 25th, while Dos! arrives on November 13th and Tre! will follow on January 15th. Fans at the shows will no doubt get to hear samples of each album as the tour goes along and each disc is released.
The group recently had to cancel its last European date, in Italy, when frontman Billie Joe Armstrong was brought down by a bad case of flu. He recovered in time for the band to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards last week.
