Stone Sour will film an official music video for the songs "Gone Sovereign" and "Absolute Zero" on Wednesday, September 26th in the band's hometown of Des Moines, Iowa. Shooting the clip will be Paul R. Brown, the well-known tattoo artist turned video director who has previously worked with Slipknot, Korn, Godsmack, Avenged Sevenfold and others.
The track is taken from Stone Sour's upcoming album House Of Gold And Bones -- Part 1, which frontman Corey Taylor told us marks a huge leap in the band's songwriting style: "Our songwriting has come so far since we put the first album out. You know, we've been able to push the boundaries musically so many times that now, we can do it in a way where the layers and the songwriting on these albums, they're so much bigger than we've been able to do in the past."
House Of Gold And Bones -- Part 1, the first half of a two-disc concept album, arrives on October 23rd, while the second half is likely to come out in May 2013.
Taylor is also working with DC Comics to prepare a limited comic book series telling the story behind the album's music.
House Of Gold And Bones will follow up the band's third album, 2010's Audio Secrecy.
Stone Sour has a handful of U.S. festival dates kicking off later this month, but has not yet announced full tour plans behind the new disc.
