Stone Sour is gearing up to hit the road in support of its upcoming new album, House Of Gold And Bones, Part 1, with the band announcing tour dates on five separate continents. Most of the shows will take place overseas, although the group will perform here in the U.S. on September 28th at the Ashley Pavilion in Phoenix and September 29th at the Mandalay Bay resort in Las Vegas. Frontman Corey Taylor will also play a solo gig on September 30th in Tucson. The rest of Stone Sour's fall shows take place in Europe, Japan and South America, with Australia on tap for next February and March.

House Of Gold And Bones, Part 1 is the first half of a two-disc concept project recorded by the group. Part 1 will arrive on October 23rd, with Part 2 scheduled for sometime in the first half of 2013.

Asked if the band is thinking about playing Part 1 or even both albums front to back at any point, Taylor told us: "It's something we're trying to figure out right now. I mean, we're just trying to figure out what would make the best sense. There's a school of thought that is like, 'You know what, let's play disc one top to bottom and then come back out for encores and play some of the 'hits,' I guess, quote-unquote. Or do big chunks of the album, peppered in with some of the stuff from the first three albums. So we're gonna try and balance the stuff that people want to hear with the stuff that, you know, we're really excited to play for everybody."

More U.S. shows are likely to be announced soon.

Stone Sour released the first new music from the new disc, "Gone Sovereign/Absolute Zero," last week. An official radio single will likely head to stations soon.

House Of Gold And Bones will follow up 2010's Audio Secrecy.
