Frontman Brandon Flowers recently told Rolling Stone that the CD's title is actually the name of the band's own studio as well as their home state of Nevada.
Drummer Ronnie Vannucci added, "It's living up to its title. This is our difficult fourth record."
Flowers also told Q magazine about the sound of the album, explaining, "It's still eclectic, I've not thrown the keyboards away. But it's definitely heavier."
Tommy Marth, saxophone player for the Killers, took his own life in April in Las Vegas. Marth was survived by his parents and two siblings. He first began working with the Killers in 2005, playing on the band's second and third albums, Sam's Town and Day And Age. He became part of the touring lineup in 2008.
