If it was up to Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner, the band would play less and less of its back catalog and focus on new material in its live shows. Speaking with the Daily Star, Turner said, "Sometimes it's tough to get through one of the old ones live. You know, you don't feel like that any more." He added, "When you tell the same joke 600 times, you won't hear what it is any more, but then sometimes, like, the 601st time you might see something in it you didn’t before."

  • Turner said he was relieved that the band's latest album, AM, had been so well received, meaning that the group could begin dropping older tunes from its set list.
  • Arctic Monkeys will kick off a new North American tour in Miami on January 30th, making stops in 12 cities and wrapping up in Minneapolis on February 14th.
  • The British act is touring in support of AM, which features the Top Five Modern Rock single, "Do I Wanna Know?"
  • Arctic Monkeys are nominated for two 2014 Brit Awards, the U.K. equivalent to the Grammys, with the band earning nods for Best British Group and Best British Album.
