Linkin Park has released a music video for "A Light That Never Comes," the band's collaborative song with electronic dance music producer and DJ Steve Aoki. The group premiered the track live in August at Japan's Summer Sonic Festival, with Aoki in attendance, and has recorded a studio version of the track for the band's new remix album, Recharged, which is due out October 29th.

Vocalist Mike Shinoda told us how Linkin Park teamed up with Aoki: "It was really organic, I mean it was just like, it started with I think like tweets and direct messages, just saying hi, and I don't know how it even, the conversation even started, and Steve doesn't -- I've asked him about this and he doesn't remember either. We just started talking. And you know, talking led to like shooting some files back and forth, and eventually one of those songs, it became obvious that it was like the best one."
The studio version of "A Light That Never Comes" also surfaced last month as part of a Linkin Park Facebook game.
The video for the song was directed by Linkin Park turntablist Joseph Hahn, who has directed most of the group's clips.
Recharged features new interpretations of tracks from the band's last record, 2012's Living Things.
A limited number of 500 custom made box sets will be available complete with an interactive 3D sculpture based on the Living Things artwork, a 48-age art book, and CDs of both that record and Recharged.
Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington has recently recorded and toured as the new frontman for Stone Temple Pilots, while Linkin Park has already begun work on its sixth studio album.
