Nine Inch Nails' first album in five years and first on a major label since 2007, Hesitation Marks, debuted at Number Three on the Billboard album chart on Wednesday (September 11th), selling 107,000 copies in its first week of sales. That's a large leap forward from the band's last two albums, the independently released The Slip and Ghosts I - IV, which entered at Numbers 13 and 14 with first-week sales of 29,000 and 26,000 copies.

Nine Inch Nails' last major label effort, 2007's Year Zero, debuted at Number Two with sales of 187,000 copies.

Hesitation Marks is Nine Inch Nails' 14th release to make the chart and sixth top 10 album.

Main man Trent Reznor reactivated the group earlier in 2013 after spending the last few years working on film soundtracks and launching a new act called How To Destroy Angels.

Nine Inch Nails will launch a full North American tour on September 28th in St. Paul, Minnesota.
