Chevelle releases Stray Arrows: A Collection Of Favorites on Tuesday (December 4th), with the set featuring all 11 of the band's Top 10 rock/alternative singles as well as a brand new song called "Fizgig." Frontman Pete Loeffler told us that he was wary of making the disc sound like a retrospective: "You know, we didn't want to put out a 'best-of.' The label had asked for that and we asked for it to be more of a collection of fan favorites. So it's kind of a middle of the road, you know, working with the label and there's a lot of singles on this album, and then it's a bunch of deeper cuts that, you know, we thought should have been singles."
Chevelle is scheduled to play a radio festival in Oklahoma City on Thursday (December 6th), as well as similar events in Sauget, Illinois and Wichita, Kansas this weekend.
Pete Loeffler suffered a knee injury in October after falling from a stage in Tucson, Arizona, with the wound ending up more severe than he first thought and forcing him to wear a brace. It is not known whether he will be able to play the band's upcoming shows standing up.
Chevelle has been on the road for most of the past year in support of its sixth studio album, Hats Off To The Bull.
