Three Days Grace frontman Adam Gontier, who has struggled with addiction issues in the past, told Noisecreep in a new interview that he tries to help fans battling the same problems whenever he can. Gontier explained, "When we go out on the road, we always make a point of meeting fans at our shows. I can't think of one meet and greet or one signing session where a fan has not told me that they were in the same position that I was and that our music is helping them get through a hard time in their lives. It is pretty rewarding to talk to someone in a tough situation and give them some advice to help out, even just a little bit. I really hope it's meaningful for them. I know it is for me."

A few years back, Three Days Grace actually played a series of acoustic dates at mental health facilities, group homes and rehab centers -- including the one where Gontier himself spent some time. Gontier told us at the time why he wanted to do them: "You know, I dealt with my own problems and when you're in one of those centers, when you're a resident there, it's a really, really, you know, tough time in your life and it's really hard to deal with. So I had this idea of just playing acoustic at different treatment centers and youth centers, whatever, just to go in and talk to people."

Transit Of Venus, the fourth studio album from Three Days Grace, arrived in stores last Tuesday (October 2nd).

Gontier told Noisecreep that he thinks the album is "our best to date."

The disc is expected to have sold between 50,000 and 55,000 copies in its first week of release, which could land it in the Top Five on the Billboard album chart. Sales figures will be published on Wednesday (October 10th).

Three Days Grace launched an 18-date club tour in Dallas on Monday night (October 8th) and next stops in St. Louis on Wednesday (October 10th).
