Slash has premiered the music video for "Bad Rain," the latest single off his sophomore solo album Apocalyptic Love. The animated clip features the legendary guitarist and his group playing the house band in a strip club where an older man, hypnotized by the gorgeous redhead dancing in front of him, soon begins to realize that the people around him are not what they seem. This is the second time Slash has appeared as an animated character: he made a cameo cartoon appearance in Disney's Phineas And Ferb movie.

Slash and his band, Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators, have been touring steadily behind Apocalyptic Love, but Slash recently told the Rapid City Journal that he and singer Kennedy have already been working on new songs.

He explained, "We are working on material, gathering ideas for another (record) at this point. We are sort of like in those early stages where I'm just recording different guitar ideas and I turn Myles on to it. He's thinking about his stuff and what he's going to do with it and so on."

Slash told us that he doesn't like to play songs too many times before laying them down in the studio: "You want to get it to where you know the song and you can play it where all you're doing is playing by feel -- you don't want to be thinking about it too much. But you don't want to overwork it, you know. You don't want to get too anal about stuff and, you know, start fine-tuning to the point of perfection, because then you lose that edge that comes with a sort of spontaneity of just playing the song for the feel of it."

Slash and the band are currently nearing the end of a U.S. tour that brings them to Chicago on Friday (September 28th). The trek will wrap up next Wednesday (October 3rd) in Los Angeles.

Slash will perform on Conan the following night (Thursday, October 4th) on TBS before heading overseas for a European jaunt.
