Three Days Grace has landed the eighth Number One rock single of its career this week with "Chalk Outline," the lead single from the Canadian act's fourth album, Transit Of Venus. Frontman Adam Gontier told us what the song was about and how it fits into the band's newest collection of music "It's a pretty straightforward song. It's about feeling like you've been betrayed by most of all your friends, that sort of thing, and you kind of just left just sitting there in the dust, you know. So 'Chalk Outline' represents, you know, Three Days Grace now, it represents this record as a whole."
Transit Of Venus is due out on October 2nd and follows up 2009's Life Starts Now.
That disc yielded three chart-toppers, including "Break," "The Good Life" and "World So Cold."
The quartet's other previous Number Ones include "Never Too Late," "Pain" and "Animal I Have Become."
Three Days Grace will play at the Pain In The Grass festival in Seattle on September 29th before launching an 18-date club tour on October 8th in Dallas.
