Papa Roach has debuted the video for "Still Swingin'," the first single from the band's new album The Connection, via VEVO. The clip features footage of the band performing against a bright sky interspersed with scenes of a long-haired rock dude using blasts of power from his hands to battle rotting zombies in a Walking Dead-style post-apocalyptic ruin. We don't know what it means either, but it looks cool and was reportedly suggested by frontman Jacoby Shaddix's seven-year-old son.

Although a lot of the new album's lyrics were inspired by Shaddix's recent marital and sobriety problems, he told us that the band avoided making the disc a concept record: "Um, you know, we got into the idea of doing that, and then it just didn't pan out for us. It didn't feel like the right record to do that. You know, sometimes we set out to make certain goals happen, and it's not that we kind of copped out on it, you know, it just didn't feel like this was the time for us to do the concept album."

Shaddix told Loudwire about the song and video, "It is the most important statement for the band. I think it just says a lot about P-Roach . . . we're the band that no matter what we're up against, we're gonna prevail."

The Connection arrives on October 2nd.

As reported last week, Papa Roach was forced to drop off the Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival after just one week, with singer Jacoby Shaddix needing surgery to remove a nodule on his vocal cord.

Shaddix underwent the surgery shortly after leaving the tour and is expected to make a full recovery, although Rolling Stone reported that he will not be allowed to sing or even talk for two months following the procedure.
