The Killers have unleashed the music video for "Runaways," the first single from the band's upcoming album Battle Born. The group shot the clip in their hometown of Las Vegas, and the video features scenes of the band playing on glowing red platforms as they overlook the lights of Sin City below. The song cracked the Modern Rock Top 10 this week at Number 10, just two weeks after making its debut.
Battle Born is the Killers' fourth studio album and follows up 2008's Day & Age. It's the group's first set of all-new material after taking a two-year hiatus during which several members of the band worked on solo projects.
Battle Born is due out on September 18th. Frontman Brandon Flowers told Billboard earlier this week about the disc, "This album is going down a few different roads, and you really get a taste of what we like as a band and what we think our strengths are."
The Killers performed "Runaways" last Saturday (July 21st) at the Firefly Music Festival in Delaware, and again on Monday (July 23rd) at New York City's Webster Hall, where they also previewed several other new songs.
