Godsmack has scrapped the rest of its European tour due to frontman Sully Erna's unidentified vocal problems, according to Loudwire. Although the band had initially called off three shows in Luxembourg, France and Switzerland, all remaining dates have been canceled. Erna was expected to be able to sing in time to restart the trek on June 28th in Austria, but after being examined by doctors back home in the U.S., he was advised to take several weeks off to let his vocal cords heal properly.Erna said in a statement, "Sorry Europe. Seems like we can't catch a break there lately . . . I promise you we'll be back!! For now it's lots of rest and fluids for me until my vocal specialist clears me to sing again. My deepest apologies Europe! You'll see us again. Thanks for your support and understanding."The current European jaunt was Godsmack's first in nine years, although they were only able to complete two of the fourteen shows, in London and Belgium. There is no word yet on how or if Erna's vocal issues will affect Godsmack's upcoming dates in North America for the 2012 Uproar Festival. That kicks off on August 17th in Bonner Springs, Kansas and features Staind, Shinedown, Papa Roach and a number of other acts.
