Slipknot premieres a new video on Friday (December 18th) for "Snuff," the current and final single from the band's 2008 album, All Hope Is Gone. The clip stars Slipknot singer Corey Taylor -- without his trademark mask -- and was co-directed by percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan and P.R. Brown. Taylor told us that even though "Snuff" sounds at times like his other band, Stone Sour, it was always intended for Slipknot: "'Snuff' is just one of those bitter moments when you realize something you want so much is not going to happen, and it takes you a long time to let go of that. It's one of those songs that when I wrote it, even though it sounds like a Stone Sour song, I wrote it specifically for Slipknot. I mean, there was never a point where I was like, 'This could go either way.'"

Slipknot recently completed nearly 18 months of touring behind All Hope Is Gone, while also celebrating the band's 10th anniversary with a deluxe reissue of its 1999 self-titled debut.

Stone Sour will begin recording its third album in February with Green Day, Shinedown and Paramore producer Rob Cavallo. It follows up 2006's Come What(ever) May.
