The Strokes' 2001 debut album, This Is It, has been named the best album of the 2000s in a new poll sponsored by England's NME magazine.
The magazine revealed its list of the Top 100 albums of the last
decade, with the New York-based Strokes topping a list that includes
multiple entries from the White Stripes, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Radiohead, Muse, Queens Of The Stone Age and others.
Rounding out the Top 10 were albums from the Libertines, Primal Scream, Arctic Monkeys, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, PJ Harvey, the Arcade Fire, the Streets, Interpol and Radiohead.
NME said its list was determined by "a panel of musicians, producers, writers and record label bosses."
