Slipknot singer Corey Taylor told Fangoria.com in a new interview that he has several new projects on the horizon, including the third album from side band Stone Sour, a book, and more music from his other side act, the Junk Beer Kidnap Band.
The latter came about after Taylor had written some solo material and
wanted to find some musicians to play it with, as he told us: "These
were all guys that I knew from the Midwest, all guys that I, you know,
I'd either worked with in various bands or, you know, I'd jammed with.
So JBKB kind of became the de facto ... what's Neil Young's band? Crazy
Horse! They kind of became my Crazy Horse. And it's awesome because we
just get up there and we have a good time, you know. It's a lot of
fun."
Taylor is also getting married for the second time this Friday (November 13th).
The interview with Taylor took place at Fangoria magazine's Trinity of Terrors
horror event in Las Vegas, which Slipknot headlined to conclude their
recent fall U.S. tour. Those are likely to be the band's final live
dates in support of their 2008 album, All Hope Is Gone.
Stone Sour has been meeting with producers and intends to begin recording the follow-up to 2006's Come What(ever) May in early 2010.
