3 Doors Down plans to hit the studio soon to record what's
shaping up to be an upbeat, positive album. The group recently got off
a long tour and has been taking a break before getting together to
write and record some new tracks. In a recent interview, frontman Brad Arnold, he dished about what the upcoming album might sound like: "In
my head right now I want to hear a lot of songs that are upbeat and fun
and catchy. I really want to focus on the upbeat thing because a lot of
times we can get a little heavy with it sometimes. And no instrumental
heavy but in the meanings of songs and the thought process going to it.
I'm about light-hearted ideas that make people feel good."
The
most recent 3 Doors Down came out in 2008, featuring the songs "Let Me
Be Myself," "Citizen Soldier" and "It's Not My Time."
Arnold recently got married.
3 Doors Down has tapped Aaron Lewis of Staind
and others to perform at its annual benefit concert in Mississippi to
raise funds for the Better Life Foundation. The event is scheduled for
December 5th in Biloxi, Mississippi.
