Float Trip With Lux And 105.7 The Point

Point Float Trip FAQ

1. I ordered my tickets, now what?

Online Tickets Sales End Wednesday, August 10th at Noon (or until sold out).  All tickets ordered after Monday, August 8th at Noon will be available at will call at the campgrounds. If you ordered a 5 person raft, then you will receive 5 tickets to the address that was entered online when you bought your tickets.

2. What is the deal with camping?

All camping will be first come first serve on the weekend of the Point Float Trip. There will be no designated campsites. You can claim your stake respectfully amongst the other campers when you arrive. There also will be no RV’s allowed in the campground during this weekend, tents only. Arapaho is a beautiful campground with plenty of great areas to camp along the Meramec River.

3. What is allowed on the river?
Meramec River Laws.
On the Meramec River all regular laws still apply including illegal drug use, minor possession of alcohol, indecent exposure (including soliciting) and other nuisance behaviors, PLUS THESE:
• Beer Bongs of any type = BANNED
• Styrofoam Coolers = BANNED
• Glass Containers = BANNED on any vessel that is easily susceptible to swamping, tipping or rolling (such as canoes, kayaks or inner tubes), but are NOT BANNED in other boats like rafts and jon boats.
• Beer Kegs = BANNED
• Alcohol Containers over 4 gallons = BANNED
• Cliff diving and rope swings = BANNED on all government lands.
• Jello Shots are NOT BANNED
• Mardi Gras Beads are NOT BANNED but illegal if used to solicit nudity.
• Bare breasted women will be ticketed for "disorderly conduct".
• There must be a PFD in your boat for each person in the boat (except with tubes).
• Children 7 years and under must wear a PFD while on the water.
COOLER SIZE: Most parks limit cooler size to around 50 quarts, and most resorts are following suit, and for good reason. Coolers over 50 quarts become exceedingly heavy for workers to load and unload, plus cause damage to the bottom of some boats when dragged over logs, rocks and gravel in the river. Instead of a 100 quart cooler use two 50 quart and everyone is happy.

4. What is allowed into the campground?
• Know that you are welcome here at Arapaho Campgrounds and that your patronage is appreciated!
• No fireworks or firearms of any kind are allowed.
• Pets are allowed but must be on a leash at all times.
• Fires are to be extinguished before you leave your site.
• All quiet hours begin at 1:30am on Friday and Saturday Night
• Pick up your own trash and leave your site clean for the next visitors.
• Anyone who is not willing to comply with our rules will be asked to leave immediately, without refund.

5. What is included with my ticket?
With your ticket purchase you will get 2 nights of camping, 1 float (must be used on Saturday, August 13) and admission to the Point stage area featuring some of the best bands in St. Louis.

6. How do I get there?
Just take Interstate 44 to the Sullivan Exit - #226 Go south on Route 185 about 1.5 miles to 185 Spur and turn left. (Because of the Meramec State Park regulations, you will not see any signs for Arapaho Campgrounds once you have turned left onto 185 Spur). Drive approximately 5.5 miles until you come to a small residential subdivision. Continue forward through the subdivision for another half-mile until the road dead-ends into the Arapaho Campgrounds.

7. Can I just come and watch the bands and not camp or float?
Yes, you will be able to buy admission to the campground on the day of the event. Prices are TBA.

8. Can I float both days?
Yes, but a float pass for SATURDAY ONLY is included in your ticket so there will be an extra fee.

9. Is Float Trip II an all-ages event?
Float Trip Weekend is an all-ages event, however no minors under the age of 18 will be allowed to float without the supervision of a parent/gaurdian.  NO ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION ALLOWED BY ANY ATTENDEE UNDER THE AGE OF 21
