What years were you on-air with The Point?
February 1993 – December 1997 AND October 2000 – March 2001.
What was the name of your show?
The Reagan Rock Replay. I also did Evenings, Overnights, Saturday afternoons, and fill-in on various shifts at different times when I was there.
What features did you do on your show?
On the Reagan Rock Replay, each week I had a featured artist, a featured year, and a “date in history” feature based on that week’s featured year where I mentioned the top news headlines and the concerts that came to St. Louis that particular year.
Who else was on the show with you?
All the shows were just me. However, I co-hosted the Point’s Local Show with Greg “Ice” Berg for a while.
What are your most memorable experiences from your time on The Point?
Practically too many to mention…The excitement there the day it went on the air. My first airshift. My last airshift. The build up to the First PointFest. My first “Reagan Rock Replay”. The busy airshifts with all the callers and jocks calling in from various locations. The teamwork feel of us all being in it together. The success we felt when we beat KSHE in the ratings for the first time.
What are your most memorable Pointfest experiences?
Meeting and talking to Joey and Johnny Ramone and seeing The Ramones set at that Poinfest. They were loud. I also met Mick Jones of Big Audio Dynamite II they had a really raucous crowd when they played PointFest, stuff flying everywhere. I also met Henry Rollins, Butch Vig. Tons more...
What are you up to now?
My last shift on The Point was on the overnight shift in March 2001.That same month I went to KSHE 95 for their overnight shift and have been on ever since!
